Oops, Google does it again...Search Engine Rankings

If you're somewhat afflicted with "Search Engine OCD" (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), then you've probably noticed that Google is undergoing a major update which actually started earlier this month.

My first indication was about 2 weeks ago when my Google PR (Page Rank) went from a 5 to a 4. After recovering from my mini-meltdown over this, I noticed that others too were being effected.

While major updates are going on, my "affliction" as I lovingly refer to, causes a few panic attacks from time to time as results are realigned and my site(s) go up and down in ranking.

These updates can take anywhere up to 4 weeks to settle down and become consistent again in the results...so for the next couple of weeks, I wait, checking hourly on my site rankings and ponder what work will need to be done in the coming weeks.
